AUGUST UPDATE:
GIG UPDATE:
On July 15 2002, Xtreme Measures performed live at the Evelyn
after a much anticipated and hard working month.
Following Dean's return to Australia, Dan Luttick
formed the band to play a number of progressive rock anthems
and technical explorations. The same line-up that performed
Atlantis Part I at Box Hill in the previous year re-grouped
to tackle some masterpieces.
The evening was a phenomenal success with a
more than avid crowd of music lovers and supporters attending
the event. Dan, Nick, Gianni and Dean ripped through two sets
of musical madness.
Highlights of the evening included Dream Theater's
Erotomania and Planet X's Atlantis Parts I, II & III! Dan's
amazing drum solo had to be seen and heard to be believed and
the Bassman included his own eclectic solo in the second set!
Nick's original tune, Turbulence was delivered
with intensity to an enthusiastic crowd. This was the bands
first original collaboration and will certainly not be the last.
A huge thankyou goes out to the following people:
Dave Hargreaves for the video recording and production,
Mark Eaves for the audio recording,
Josh Andrea for the rig,
The Super Trio,
The Evelyn management and staff,
Gary, Peter, and Denis from the 3PBS Screaming Symphony show
for the gig review and promotion,
SuperkatZ,
Xistance,
The Luttick, Carr, D'Ambra and Gaudoin families for their continued
support,
All staff and students at Box Hill College of Music, and all
who attended the event.
Finally - a huge thankyou to Nick, Dan and
Gianni - thank you for making this incredible event a reality!
It was magnificent! You guys are the best!
Xtreme Measures will be back when the four
paths of progressive excellence intersect once more!
