APRIL / MAY UPDATE:

MUSIC AND MAYHEM.

April has been the most intense month for the Bassman and SuperkatZ, with a number of attacks on American establishments and western icons.

Nevertheless, the show did go on with SuperkatZ performing at the U.S. Military Base only one day after its attack. The band delivered two blistering sets to the troops and even played through two power cuts which occurred during two of the bands heaviest songs, "Paranoid" and "One Step Closer".

When the power did return, the Bassman concluded the Black Sabbath anthem with the "Star-Spangled Banner". Scary! A huge thanks to all of the U.S. forces during this period of unrest. Thanks also to Craig for donating his Epiphone bass to Dean, which made its debut during "Zombie" on stage at Diggers.

Amid more attacks on the U.S. Embassy and almost every McDonalds, the SuperkatZ played host to the "Blues Brothers Tribute Band" who rocked the house! The singer from the band, Tony, joined SuperkatZ for a rendition of "Angels" later in the night.

BIG WEEKEND OUT.

Diggers "Big Weekend Out" proved to be a huge success with the welcome return of D.J. Graeme Gold spinning the discs. SuperkatZ were joined by Cinderella Rockerfella, Nina Ferro, and the Commitments! This huge four band line-up played poolside to an avid crowd with a huge sound and mammoth rig! The evening culminated in the biggest jam that Bahrain had ever seen, with members from each band joining the SuperkatZ on stage for their last set.

DEAD ICONS.

The western worlds greatest icon made an all too brief appearance during the SuperkatZ final gig in Bahrain. "Mysterious Elvis" took the stage for a version of Nirvana's, "Come As You Are", performed only as the King could have. Cobain is dead, long live the King!
