OCTOBER UPDATE:

SUPERKATZ ROX DIGGER'S.

For the last few months, the Bassman has been cranking up the bottom end in the Middle East. Dean returned to Bahrain with the new SuperkatZ line-up to play six nights a week at Digger's bar and club! This return gig was a huge success with the band seeing so many familiar faces from their first time out in Bahrain. A huge thank you goes out to Digger's management and all of the customers that make this gig so rockin'!

JAMMIN' TRIO.

While in Bahrain this time around, Dean managed to catch up with a couple of awesome musicians frrom Sydney, Australia. Dean was joined by Carl (drumkit) and Steve (guitar) for a number of instumental jams and sonic explorations. The trio stormed through a few jazz standards as well as some funk pieces and odd-time compositions! Dean managed to record most of the sessions which included some Herbie Hancock, John Scofield and an intense version of Jaco's, "The Chicken." The jams were absolutely awesome and the whole experiment was very memorable. A big thanks to both Carl and Steve for contributing so much to the creative outlet.

FCUKING NICE AXE:

The Bassman is now the very proud owner and player of a WARWICK FNA Jazzman bass! Dean picked up the axe and immediately fell in love with the feel and sound of this high quality instrument. The FNA Jazzman has the punchiest sound and is tonally the most versatlie bass available. And it looks and feels fcuking sexy!

BACK IN OZ.

Dean has returned to Melbourne and will be playing with the Xtreme Measures band as well as numerous Box Hill Music students. This will prove to be an intense close to the year in Oz! (Check out the new Xtreme Measures gallery, thanks to the creative talent of Dave H and WaDE.)
