NYE OMAN:

To conclude ’08 and bring in the new-year, Dean returned to the Middle East to gig with some special friends.
Taking to the stage at PDO, Muscat, Dean was joined by Kiran on guitar and Marion on vocals for some awesome tunes. Nerino Pinto held down the groove on drum-kit for this unique “Syrup” line-up.
The amazing “Papa Groove” from Sydney also funked it up, with both bands taking to the stage for the jam of the year.

A huge thank you to Kiran for making the whole trip and gig possible.

BUSH FIRE RELIEF:

In response to the devastating bush-fires that Victoria had endured, a special fundraiser was organised. ‘Smart Artz Gallery’, ‘Piano Time’ and ‘Semaarn’ in South Melbourne combined to bring together Melbourne’s best musical talent and fashion.

The gallery in Alfred Place played host to some beautiful models and amazing musicians. Montarsha Jones (Keys), Mike Di’Ceco (Drums) and Dean (Bass) formed the “Three of a Perfect Pare” Trio which performed some jazz and funk favourites for the event. Other acts included Dr Donna Coleman, Chris Wilson and Kane Alexander.

Special thanks to all that attended the fundraiser.
