NOVEMBER 2008:

RETURN TO LONDON:

Dean made the epic journey across the globe back to his homeland, the UK. June and July saw the Bassman return to London for some special gigs including ‘Jazz After Dark’ in Soho and ‘Spice Of Life’ in Cambridge Circus.

‘Jazz After Dark’ has been host to some of the world’s greatest musical talent. Amy Winehouse currently sings there, also performing with Pete Doherty:

‘Spice Of Life’ is an amazing venue show-casing a multitude of musical styles. Legends such as Bob Dylan, Jamie Cullum and Paul Simon have performed at ‘The Spice’:

Armed with his vintage Yamaha Bass, Dean took to the stage with some amazing musicians.
Thanks to Nadjib, Dave, Gina, Greg Castle, Corliss Randall, and Tim, the master guitarist, for the incredible experience.

Pics from the epic pilgrimage will be on-line in the near future.

BON VOYAGE, BONNEY:

Dean joined Simon Bonney on air for his final ‘Giant Steps’ show on PBS FM.
Simon was instrumental in bringing many new, unique and obscure bands and musicians to a wider audience.
Always supportive of local talent, Simon and the ‘Giant Steps’ radio show will be missed.
Best of luck to you, Simon!
